Rose VoxBox Review

A few weeks ago I received my second VoxBox!
A VoxBox is a box of products sent to you based on your interests and brand usage through a program from Influenster.
This is an overview on how it works:
Influenster is a free-to-join community of trendsetters, social media masterminds, and educated consumers who live to give opinions of products and experiences.
The Influenster site is a hub where members meet to learn about new products from our favorite brands as well as review the products they already use in their day-to-day lives!
Influenster invites its most active members to participate in exclusive VoxBox programs where members receive complimentary products to test and review. In exchange, we ask our members to do what they already love to do: share their opinions with their friends & followers on social media!
But that's not all. We have a lot going on including digital challenges, twitter parties, & contests!
If you want to know more, check out their 'About & FAQs page'.

I have been in the program for about 5 months and this is my second box. I always complete all of the box and brand challenges to keep my score high. That's the way you get into more programs! I am not a salesperson by any means, so if I am writing about something, it really is legit and totally worth it.

The VoxBox I received this time was the Rose VoxBox.
Here is what was in my box:

belVita crunch Breakfast Biscuits
belVita crunchy Breakfast Biscuits are made with delicious ingredients and carefully baked to release nutritious sustained energy, all morning long. They are a good source of Fiber and B-vitamins, contain no high fructose corn syrup, have 18-20 grams of whole grain per 50 gram serving and taste great, which makes belVita crunchy Breakfast Biscuits perfect for when you are on the go.

I had seen these around for a while now, but never had a desire to try them. They never looked good in the picture and honestly, the name just doesn't sit right with me. I don't think they named this product well. I really don't know what it is, but I don't like it and it doesn't sound appetizing. I tried them the morning after I got the box. I have to say that I was very surprised at how good they actually are. I went in expecting them to be dry, hard, and tasteless. I was so wrong; they taste great! I like that they are a fast and easy breakfast as well, which is completely necessary sometimes with a toddler. I have since tried the soft-baked, mixed berry ones and yummy! I mean I was pretty sure I was eating a cookie for breakfast, but hey, the box says its good for me ;) I'm not totally sold on it being super healthy, but I know it is at least better than some other choices out there. All in all, I was pleasantly surprised and would definitely recommend these. I would also suggest they get a new marketing team!

Dr. Scholl's For Her Cozy Cushions
Dr. Scholl's® For Her Cozy Cushions help keep feet warm and dry while providing all-day comfort. Their multi-layer design helps insulate the foot while two plush layers provide extra cushioning. Cozy Cushions help keep feet dry by absorbing perspiration and offer superior support on hard surfaces.

I received some Dr. Scholl's for Her insoles in my last VoxBox as well. They were made specifically for wearing with heals. Since, I am not a big high-heal wearer, they haven't gotten any use. So I was much happier to see these insoles this time around; more my style and perfect for the upcoming winter. These are a great combination for shoe insoles: they keep your feet warm, but dry and offer really good support and cushion. Also they are more versatile than the high-heel ones, as they can be worn in almost any shoe. My feet tend to hurt with any long amount of walking, so I am a big fan of extra padding for comfort. Even if you're not into this specific insole, Dr. Scholl's for Her line has many other options that can fill your needs. I can attest to these being really good quality products.

Kiss Gradation Polishes
Create a ‘gradation/airbrushed’ look at home with a set of 3 mono-chromatic polishes with hints of shimmer and shine.

I like having my nails painted, but I never have the patience to wait for them to dry. And now that I have a toddler, I don't have the time either. Even if I did find the time, it seems so pointless to me because it always starts chipping an hour later. I sometimes go get them done at the salon, but that's very rare. I keep a couple polishes in my stash, but it is drastically smaller than what it used to be and I don't have any new trendy ones. I was actually excited to try this set out. It seemed like a really cool idea and easy enough for me to figure out. The picture on the box and the website description makes it seem like it creates the 'airbrushed' look, but that isn't quite the case. That's not to say that I don't like this product, but mine did not look anything like it was airbrushed.
This set comes with three different polishes. The base coat you apply first, then let dry. Make sure it really is all the way dry or it will just come off when you put the other coats on (known from experience). It says to do two coats, but I had to do three on some. The second coat is the dark one. That is supposed to go on the top 1/3 of your nail. Don't put this one on too thick because it will be too dark and it won't blend as well (see my picture below.) Then the top coat is the glitter. That one goes on the top half of your nail right after the second layer. You're supposed to do this before it dries to help the blending. I would highly suggest putting a sealer or top coat over it all, because my didn't last but a couple hours before it starting chipping.

I think the idea behind this set is a good one. The effect is cool and it is easy enough to apply. The more you try it, the better you get at the blending and knowing the right ways to apply it. I also like it because you can use all the polishes separately as well. The glitter coat can be used on top of any color polish and the others can be used by themselves. Finally thoughts: Fun and cute at home manicure!
The 60s are back in full swing with a thicker, fuller, wide-eyed look!
Features:
  • A wide-eyed false lash look
  • Fanned out volume
  • No clumps
  • Lashes up, out and over the top
This mascara could not have come at a more perfect time. I so badly needed some new mascara, but I didn't feel like trying to figure out which of the 100s was the best one to try. Each cosmetic line has at least ten different mascaras to choose from and they are all supposed to do different things for your lashes. Mascara is one of the only things I wear more regularly, so I am always looking for the Holy Grail of mascara. I have a few that I like well enough, but I have been wanting to try something different. So needless to say I was pretty stoked to get this mascara in my box. I like the wide-eyed, thicker look that this mascara gives and it helps create the illusion of a more open eye for me. It claims to not clump, but I have had clumping because it's so new and the wand is full of mascara. Hopefully, that issue will resolve the more I use it. In the picture below, I have the mascara on both eyes, one with no eyeshadow or liner and the other with both. I actually like the way it looks better without any other eye makeup. If you're in the market for new mascara or bored with your current one, I would suggest giving Rimmel London Scandaleyes Retro Glam Mascara a try. It's definitely a unique look and is something different to try out.

Lindt LINDOR Milk Chocolate Truffles
This box also came with one LINDOR truffle in a cute little bag. Unfortunately, I was born missing the chocolate loving gene that most women (including my mother!) have. I don't mind a very little bit here and there, but it makes me sick if I eat too much of it. However, this didn't last but a couple hours before Mark managed to get it in his tummy. He devoured it in one bite and by the sounds coming from his way, I think it liked it :) I told him if he was going to eat it, then I needed him to give me a review. Well, it is a good thing he has no interest in becoming a product reviewer because all he could say was that "it was good, really good."
So, it is good... ;)

So there you have it! My Rose VoxBox; I was very happy with all of the products in this box and I hope my reviews help if you're thinking about picking up any of these products!
