Rose VoxBox Review

A few weeks ago I received my second VoxBox!
A VoxBox is a box of products sent to you based on your interests and brand usage through a program from Influenster.
This is an overview on how it works:
Influenster is a free-to-join community of trendsetters, social media masterminds, and educated consumers who live to give opinions of products and experiences.
The Influenster site is a hub where members meet to learn about new products from our favorite brands as well as review the products they already use in their day-to-day lives!
Influenster invites its most active members to participate in exclusive VoxBox programs where members receive complimentary products to test and review. In exchange, we ask our members to do what they already love to do: share their opinions with their friends & followers on social media!
But that's not all. We have a lot going on including digital challenges, twitter parties, & contests!
If you want to know more, check out their 'About & FAQs page'.

I have been in the program for about 5 months and this is my second box. I always complete all of the box and brand challenges to keep my score high. That's the way you get into more programs! I am not a salesperson by any means, so if I am writing about something, it really is legit and totally worth it.
If you want to sign up, comment or send me your email. If I sign you up, we can be teammates, which helps increase your influence and score.

The VoxBox I received this time was the Rose VoxBox.
Here is what was in my box:

belVita crunch Breakfast Biscuits
belVita crunchy Breakfast Biscuits are made with delicious ingredients and carefully baked to release nutritious sustained energy, all morning long. They are a good source of Fiber and B-vitamins, contain no high fructose corn syrup, have 18-20 grams of whole grain per 50 gram serving and taste great, which makes belVita crunchy Breakfast Biscuits perfect for when you are on the go.

I had seen these around for a while now, but never had a desire to try them. They never looked good in the picture and honestly, the name just doesn't sit right with me. I don't think they named this product well. I really don't know what it is, but I don't like it and it doesn't sound appetizing. I tried them the morning after I got the box. I have to say that I was very surprised at how good they actually are. I went in expecting them to be dry, hard, and tasteless. I was so wrong; they taste great! I like that they are a fast and easy breakfast as well, which is completely necessary sometimes with a toddler. I have since tried the soft-baked, mixed berry ones and yummy! I mean I was pretty sure I was eating a cookie for breakfast, but hey, the box says its good for me ;) I'm not totally sold on it being super healthy, but I know it is at least better than some other choices out there. All in all, I was pleasantly surprised and would definitely recommend these. I would also suggest they get a new marketing team!

Dr. Scholl's For Her Cozy Cushions
Dr. Scholl's® For Her Cozy Cushions help keep feet warm and dry while providing all-day comfort. Their multi-layer design helps insulate the foot while two plush layers provide extra cushioning. Cozy Cushions help keep feet dry by absorbing perspiration and offer superior support on hard surfaces.

I received some Dr. Scholl's for Her insoles in my last VoxBox as well. They were made specifically for wearing with heals. Since, I am not a big high-heal wearer, they haven't gotten any use. So I was much happier to see these insoles this time around; more my style and perfect for the upcoming winter. These are a great combination for shoe insoles: they keep your feet warm, but dry and offer really good support and cushion. Also they are more versatile than the high-heel ones, as they can be worn in almost any shoe. My feet tend to hurt with any long amount of walking, so I am a big fan of extra padding for comfort. Even if you're not into this specific insole, Dr. Scholl's for Her line has many other options that can fill your needs. I can attest to these being really good quality products.

Kiss Gradation Polishes
Create a ‘gradation/airbrushed’ look at home with a set of 3 mono-chromatic polishes with hints of shimmer and shine.

I like having my nails painted, but I never have the patience to wait for them to dry. And now that I have a toddler, I don't have the time either. Even if I did find the time, it seems so pointless to me because it always starts chipping an hour later. I sometimes go get them done at the salon, but that's very rare. I keep a couple polishes in my stash, but it is drastically smaller than what it used to be and I don't have any new trendy ones. I was actually excited to try this set out. It seemed like a really cool idea and easy enough for me to figure out. The picture on the box and the website description makes it seem like it creates the 'airbrushed' look, but that isn't quite the case. That's not to say that I don't like this product, but mine did not look anything like it was airbrushed.
This set comes with three different polishes. The base coat you apply first, then let dry. Make sure it really is all the way dry or it will just come off when you put the other coats on (known from experience). It says to do two coats, but I had to do three on some. The second coat is the dark one. That is supposed to go on the top 1/3 of your nail. Don't put this one on too thick because it will be too dark and it won't blend as well (see my picture below.) Then the top coat is the glitter. That one goes on the top half of your nail right after the second layer. You're supposed to do this before it dries to help the blending. I would highly suggest putting a sealer or top coat over it all, because my didn't last but a couple hours before it starting chipping.

I think the idea behind this set is a good one. The effect is cool and it is easy enough to apply. The more you try it, the better you get at the blending and knowing the right ways to apply it. I also like it because you can use all the polishes separately as well. The glitter coat can be used on top of any color polish and the others can be used by themselves. Finally thoughts: Fun and cute at home manicure!
The 60s are back in full swing with a thicker, fuller, wide-eyed look!
Features:
  • A wide-eyed false lash look
  • Fanned out volume
  • No clumps
  • Lashes up, out and over the top
This mascara could not have come at a more perfect time. I so badly needed some new mascara, but I didn't feel like trying to figure out which of the 100s was the best one to try. Each cosmetic line has at least ten different mascaras to choose from and they are all supposed to do different things for your lashes. Mascara is one of the only things I wear more regularly, so I am always looking for the Holy Grail of mascara. I have a few that I like well enough, but I have been wanting to try something different. So needless to say I was pretty stoked to get this mascara in my box. I like the wide-eyed, thicker look that this mascara gives and it helps create the illusion of a more open eye for me. It claims to not clump, but I have had clumping because it's so new and the wand is full of mascara. Hopefully, that issue will resolve the more I use it. In the picture below, I have the mascara on both eyes, one with no eyeshadow or liner and the other with both. I actually like the way it looks better without any other eye makeup. If you're in the market for new mascara or bored with your current one, I would suggest giving Rimmel London Scandaleyes Retro Glam Mascara a try. It's definitely a unique look and is something different to try out.

Lindt LINDOR Milk Chocolate Truffles
This box also came with one LINDOR truffle in a cute little bag. Unfortunately, I was born missing the chocolate loving gene that most women (including my mother!) have. I don't mind a very little bit here and there, but it makes me sick if I eat too much of it. However, this didn't last but a couple hours before Mark managed to get it in his tummy. He devoured it in one bite and by the sounds coming from his way, I think it liked it :) I told him if he was going to eat it, then I needed him to give me a review. Well, it is a good thing he has no interest in becoming a product reviewer because all he could say was that "it was good, really good."
So, it is good... ;)

So there you have it! My Rose VoxBox; I was very happy with all of the products in this box and I hope my reviews help if you're thinking about picking up any of these products!
Again, if you want to sign up, comment or send me your email. If I sign you up, we can be teammates, which helps increase your influence and score.

SunKissed VoxBox: Olay Fresh Effects, Dr. Scholls for Her, GoodyOuchless, and Sinful Shine

This week I received my first VoxBox!
A VoxBox is a box of products sent to you based on your interests and brand usage through a program on Influenster. The VoxBox I received was the Sunkissed VoxBox. This box was inspired by summer time and included some awesome beauty products for her!

Here is what was in my box:

Dr. Scholls for Her High Heel insoles

From the Dr. Scholls website:
Dr. Scholl's® For Her High Heel Insoles are proven to improve the way you feel in heels. The unique design helps prevent foot aches and pains caused by high heels two inches and higher. Plus, the ultra-soft gel arch shifts pressure off the ball of your foot while providing guaranteed all-day comfort.

I am actually quite impressed with these. The gel is super soft and comfy, the arch support really helps take the pressure off of your heel and toes, and they are easy to insert or remove as needed. I don't wear high heels that often anymore because they are not practical being a new mom, but having these insoles makes be want to strap on a heel just so I can take advantage of their comfort. I did try to put them in a normal flat, but it felt really weird on my foot. So I can definitely say that these are made only for heels. Looking forward to a date night in which I can put these to the true test. (update soon)

SinfulShine with Gel Tech nail polish

From the SinfulShine website:

5x more glossy than a patent leather shoe. Gel Tech technology provides opulent, rich color and a brilliant shine finish!
I was pretty excited when I found out I was getting nail polish in my box. I'm forever on the hunt for affordable, quality nail polish. Most of the stuff I have starts chipping off the next day and just looks cheap (because...well... it is!) I am a little disappointed in the color :( I'm not a fan of yellow and it definitely does not compliment my skin tone. I would have been happy with any of the other colors in this line other than the yellow. However, I do love this polish. It goes on smooth, thick, and shiny! It's quality is great for the price (2.99 for Gel Tech, 1.99 for regular). I will be buying this in other colors that I will actually wear!

Olay Fresh Effects BB Cream

                                           From Olay website:

6 Skin Perfecting Benefits: Refreshes, Brightens, Evens Tone, Hydrates, Smoothes, Protects. All-in-one solution for instantly brighter-looking, smoother-feeling, more even skin tone.
Fresh & free: No oil or PABA. Just the good stuff. BB Cream, also known as beauty balm, is one of Asia's hottest beauty sensations. Its multi-tasking formula works to moisturize, brighten and help protect skin from harmful UV rays. This silky, tinted lotion blends effortlessly with your natural skin tone, helping hide imperfections and minimizing the need for concealer and foundation. With just one use, skin will be left glowing and naturally even.

                                                                               Purchase here or here

I have struggled with acne and the aftermath of its evilness since I was in middle school. Now my skin is FAR from perfect or even decent and it's something I am super self-conscious about. I have always wished of having nice skin, but I have not found my miracle yet. As a new mother (clearly my excuse for everything), I don't have the time or energy to mess with make-up. I rarely ever put it on; maybe once a week or two. I also don't like putting a lot of product on my face because of my history of acne. So on most days my face routine consists of wash and lotion.

Recently I have been seeing a lot of commercials about this new product called BB cream. Naturally when I was browsing Target one day and saw Garnier BB Cream on an end cap, I was intrigued. I read the box, and it pretty much sounded like the perfect product for me and so I couldn't pass up trying it out. Now I will say that it isn't the perfect product, but I do really like it. There is just enough tint to cover my imperfections while not being as thick and 'cakey' as concealer or foundation. SPF is a bonus! The only thing I really don't like about the Garnier BB cream is that the texture is very thin and runny so it comes out of the bottle fast and there is always a bunch in the cap when I open it up.
I was excited about getting the Olay BB cream in this box. I love the idea of BB cream so I'd like to be able to test them all out. I have only used the Olay a couple time now so I can't really attest to any long term effects, but I will have to say that I believe that it does everything it says. I like the texture a lot better with this cream (a little thicker) and it also smells good! After using it my skin was super soft; even the next morning it felt smoother. The tint is nice and it does even my skin tone a little, but it definitely is not flawless. I don't expect it to be though because my skin is quite horrid, so for what it is working with it does a pretty good job! I will keep using it and probably stick with the Olay brand in the future. Below is me after using the cream.

From the Goody website:
Goody’s NEW Ouchless Ribbon Elastics offer you a unique hair tie to personalize your ponytail. As beautiful as ribbons but soft and stretchy too, these hair ties are “knot” your average elastic. New Ribbon Elastics are both comfortable and fashionable, plus look great in your hair or on your wrist.
Lastly, I received these hair ties. This was another product I was happy about getting in the box. I had never heard of them before I received them, but I glad I have them now! They are super cute, very versatile, and come in the perfect colors. I'm not creative when it comes to hair and such, so having the ribbon helps put a cute little touch to my style. They are comfortable in your hair and are very OUCHLESS! I am currently in the process of growing my hair out, so I am excited to get to use these more as more styles become accessible.

All-in-all I am very happy with my first VoxBox and satisfied with the products. Perfect products for my lifestlye and interests! Can't wait for the next!
